Residents' Evening in Tesoma: Join the discussion on developing the neighbourhood

On Thursday 8 October 2026, a Residents' Evening will be held at the Tesoma Wellbeing Centre from 5 pm to 7 pm. The event will focus on the development of the area and will include presentations on services for families with children and older residents, among other topics. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Residents' Evenings are community events where residents can learn about current issues affecting the city, discuss them with experts and share their own views and ideas.

The next Residents' Evening will take place on Thursday 8 October 2026 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Tesoma Wellbeing Centre (Tesomankatu 4).

Everyone is welcome to attend. There is no admission fee and no registration is required. Complimentary coffee will be available for the first 100 participants.

Deputy Mayor Ilkka Porttikivi will be present to meet local residents and discuss issues that matter to them.

The evening will focus on neighbourhood development and how the area is being developed in a holistic way through cooperation between different city services, local organisations and residents.

– I would like to welcome everyone to hear about the objectives for Tesoma's development and the measures that are planned and already under way, says Henna Kuitunen, Development Coordinator in the City of Tampere's Neighbourhood Development Programme.

The event will also feature numerous local associations, City of Tampere services and other organisations operating in the area.

– Throughout the evening, participants can visit information points to learn more about current issues, discuss them with experts, provide feedback and take part in activities such as an art workshop, exercise trials and short interviews, says Jarno Koskinen, Area Coordinator responsible for organising the Residents' Evenings.

During the evening, children's magician Paspartuu will be creating balloon figures for children, and his magic show will take place at 6 pm.

The event follows the City of Tampere's Safer space principles.
