The "Active Tampere" Day drew 4,500 visitors to Kauppi to enjoy physical activity, try out new sports, and explore recreational opportunities. Clubs, organizations, and partners filled the area with a wide variety of activities and opportunities to meet others.

The “Active Tampere” Day brought together fitness enthusiasts, families, and residents to enjoy a varied program and a sense of community. Throughout the day, participants had the chance to try new sports, meet other fitness enthusiasts, and spend time together being active.

The event featured spectacular performances, interesting lectures, and numerous opportunities to try out different forms of exercise and discover new hobbies. An impressive 4,500 visitors came to the area during the day, which is a great testament to the event’s appeal and the enthusiasm of Tampere residents for physical activity and well-being.

There would have been enough to do at Kauppi to fill even several days. During the day, visitors could, among other things, dance, jump at Trampolin Park, try judo, and play chess. Numerous clubs and organizations showcased their activities and offered visitors the chance to explore a wide range of hobbies and leisure options, as well as discover new ways to get involved and pursue their interests.

It was especially heartwarming to see how enthusiastically the children participated in the day’s program. Many joyful comments were heard during the event, and one child even described the day as the best of the year, “better than Christmas.” It is moments like these that remind us of the importance of community, physical activity, and shared experiences.

The event was organized by Kauppi Sport Center, Varala Sports Academy, Hämeen Liikunta ja Urheilu and Aamulehti. A heartfelt thank you to the participants, clubs, and associations, our partners, and everyone involved in making the event a success. You made the day a success!
