Tampere is celebrating its 247th anniversary – submit your event to the anniversary weekend program
Tampere Day will be celebrated from October 1–4, 2026. We invite everyone to join the celebration! Businesses, associations, organizations and groups can submit events to the citywide celebration weekend program. The deadline to register is 12 p.m. on September 28, 2026.
Tampere Day is created through collaboration. On this October weekend, the city comes alive with a variety of events, open houses, and cultural activities aimed at all Tampere residents.
We hope this weekend will feature a diverse range of activities and events that offer residents new experiences and memorable moments. You can open the doors of your business or organization, organize performances or guided tours or offer the chance to try out new hobbies. The implementation is up to you – the most important thing is that you join us in the celebration!
Submit your event
Submit your event as part of the Tampere Day celebration weekend via the Tampere Event Calendar website. Submissions will be accepted until 12 p.m. on September 28. Submitted events will be published in the Tampere Event Calendar and on the Tampere Day website. We hope that all Tampere Day events will adhere to the organizer’s own principles for a safer environment.
Instructions for Adding an Event
- Log in to the Tampere Event Calendar at tapahtumat.tampere.fi / Create a free user account.
- Create a profile for the event organizer. If you know your organization already has a profile, ask the profile administrator to add you as an administrator.
- Select “Add” and “Create Event” in the upper-right corner.
- Enter your event details. Be sure to enter the information in English as well.
- Enter #TampereenPäivä as the event hashtag. Note: If you do not select this, the event will not be saved under the Tampere Day program.
- Publish your event.
