Exhibitions opening in the Stable kick off another new exhibition season at Haihara Art Centre
New winds are blowing in Haihara's summer of exhibitions, as the Art Realm Biennale arrives at the Manor and Stable. In addition to the Biennale, the Stable will host exhibitions by Outileena Uotila, Leena Hyttinen and Art Association Elo.
Haihara's summer season will soon be here again! The first art exhibitions of the season, Leena Hyttinen's Pehmoilua (Acting Soft) and Outileena Uotila's Moneen kertaan käytetty (Used Many Times), will open in the Stable on 9 May.
Through her ceramic works, Leena Hyttinen addresses questions of different bonds on both a concrete and conceptual level, and wants to build a space for softness and soft values. Outileena Uotila reflects on the relationship between clean and wastewater and the impact of humans on their environment. Uotila's works invite the viewer to reflect on their own responsibility and their relationship with water, which is such an obvious part of everyday life that its value is easily forgotten. The exhibitions are open Tue-Sun 13-18, closed on Ascension Day.
The doors of the Manor will also open to the public on 13 June, when the Biennale of the Arts will fill both exhibition spaces of Haihara until 16 August. A wide range of events, including guided tours, talks and performances, will be held in conjunction with the Biennale, all of which are free of charge. In August and September, the Stable will also host a joint exhibition by the art association Elo. More information about the summer events will be updated on the Haihara Art Centre website in the spring.
