The application for annual plots for urban farming starts on 7 April
The City of Tampere has 14 plot areas in different parts of the city for urban farming. Some of the plots are perennial and some are annual. This year, annual plots are available in seven areas. The application period for the plots starts on Tuesday 7 April at 12 noon and ends on Wednesday 22 April at 23.55.
The size of the plots varies between 20 and 200 square metres. Prices are low and vary according to plot type and growing season. You can check the current rental prices for the city's plots on the website of the Tampere 4H Association. The Tampere 4H Association is responsible for managing and renting the plots.
Organic farming is encouraged and the use of pesticides, for example, is prohibited.
