Price increases for sports services for 2026

The effects of the financial rebalancing of the City of Tampere also extend to the fees for sports services, which is why all prices have been increased by 10 percent.

In line with the City of Tampere's economic rebalancing programme, VAT-exempt prices for sports facilities and exercise guidance activities have been increased by 10 percent as of 1 January 2026. The increase affects all training fees.

From the beginning of the year, VAT on gross prices is 13.5 percent, except for swimming lessons, saunas, rental equipment, and non-sporting events, for which VAT is 25.5 percent.

Children and young people free of charge at the Outdoor Swimming Pool in May and September

Free daytime swimming for people aged 65 and over will continue on weekdays from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm.

Children aged 5–18 can enter the Tampere Outdoor Swimming Pool free of charge during May and September. The Culture and Leisure Committee also decided at its meeting in December that from the beginning of the year, the gym at the Tampere Swimming Centre will be open for training with a one-off ticket purchased in advance from the Sports Services online shop.
