The municipal veterinary emergency service for small animals will be run by Papuvet from the beginning of 2026
The service provider of the Tampere regional veterinary emergency service for small animal veterinarians will change from 1 January 2026. The new service provider is Papuvet Oy, whose practice is located at Pispalan valtatie 2 in Tampere.
The telephone number for small animal emergency service will remain the current +358 3 565 44777.
The Small Animal Emergency Service provides emergency veterinary care for small animals on weekdays from 15.00 to 8.00 and on weekends and public holidays.
The Tampere regional veterinary care area includes Tampere, Orivesi, Juupajoki, Kangasala, Pälkäne, Valkeakoski, Akaa and Urjala. The regional veterinary service purchases small animal emergency services and the contract with Papuvet Oy is for three years. The contract has two option years, which means that the same provider can continue after three years for another two years.
