The Tampere Residents’ Evening will take place in the Lehmus Hall of the Metso Main Library on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, from 6:00 pm. to 8:00 pm. The event can also be followed live on Tampere Channel.
At the event, participants will meet Mayor Ilmari Nurminen, Chair of the City Council Kalervo Kummola, and Deputy Mayors Anne-Mari Jussila and Jaakko Mustakallio. They will present current issues in the city and engage in discussion with the audience. The event will be hosted by Communications Director Katja Kannonlahti.
The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions of the Mayor and other speakers during the evening. Questions can also be submitted in advance via an online form until 9 December 2025. Advance questions will be answered during the evening where possible.
The event will be held in Finnish, but questions may also be asked in English.
The event is open to all interested. For catering purposes, participants are kindly asked to register in advance: Registration. You can also submit advance questions using the same form.
The event will follow the Tampere City's principles of a safer space.
The Tampere Residents’ Evening will be held at the Metso Main Library (Pirkankatu 2, Tampere).
The Lehmus Hall is located on the library’s ground floor, with an accessible entrance from the Hämeenpuisto side. From the main entrance on the second floor, there is lift access to the ground floor. Accessible toilets are available on both floors. An induction loop is in use in the Lehmus Hall.
