New traffic lights will be activated at the intersection of Orimuskatu and Mäentakusenkatu in Leinola
On Thursday, 20 November, the intersection of Orimuskatu and Mäentakusenkatu in Leinola will be converted into a traffic light-controlled intersection. The turning lane at the intersection has also been extended.
Work on the intersection area in Leinola began in August. The intersection has been improved for greater safety by installing traffic lights and extending the right-hand turning lane on Mäentakusenkatu. The turning lane was extended to Aitoniitynkatu so that queues of turning vehicles can fit into their own lanes. These improvements particularly enhance traffic safety for children at the daycare and school in the area.
