City of Tampere offers 14 ice cream kiosk locations for lease
The tender process will be conducted via the Huutokaupat.com service, and binding bids must be submitted by December 4, 2025. The winner will generally be the bidder with the highest offer, but one operator may receive a maximum of five locations.
Ice cream kiosk spots are available in Koskipuisto, Keskustori, Laukontori, Tammelantori, Sorsapuisto, Mustalahti Harbor, Hervanta Market Square, and several parks and squares in Tampere.
At squares with two kiosk spots, the same operator cannot obtain both. It is advisable to submit bids in order of preference, as selection may be based on the time of bid submission if necessary.
Three seasons of ice cream sales
The lease agreement will cover the entire period (April 1, 2026 – September 30, 2028). The locations will be available annually from early April to the end of September. Before starting operations, the food business operator must submit a notification of establishing a food premises.
The tenant is responsible for acquiring, installing, maintaining, and removing the kiosk structure, as well as waste management and necessary electricity and water connections. Most sites have an electricity connection, and some also offer water supply and drainage, which makes kiosk operations easier.
