Tampere Day weekend celebrated in Haihara

On the Tampere Day weekend, Haihara will host a concert and a fun day together with events for families with children and young people.

Swinging in a mansion

On Friday 3 October at 18:00, the Swing Doctors and their dancers will take over the stage at Haihara. This time, the band will spread the gospel of swing as a ten-piece orchestra. Featuring the gorgeous Piia Kristiina as vocal soloist, the Swing Doctors, led by skipper Marko Aho, will play classics from the 'American Songbook', Count Basie-style instrumentals and Finnish 1950s swing hits a'la Helena Siltala, Laila Kinnunen and Britta Koivunen.

During the intermission there will be a buffet from the Lions Club Kaukajärvi. Free admission!

Haiharafest is now Haifest!

On Sunday 5.10. there will be an event for the whole family, where everyone is warmly welcome.

From 13:00 to 16:00, the programme is especially aimed at families with children. You can enjoy a SuperSam show, try out a fast-paced prank ride, meet cute alpacas and marvel at the skills of freestyle footballer Alexander Wessberg.

In the evening, from 17-20, there will be a programme for young people aged 13-29. Youngsters can enjoy free pancakes and mocktails, test the ball pit and take part in a graffiti workshop. There will also be a live performance by the Kauno band, a driving simulator and football tricks by Alexander Wessberg.

Admission is free. The Haihara Coffee Chamber will serve visitors from 12-18.

Haifest is organised in cooperation with FinFami Pirkanmaa, the Huppu project, the Tampere City Public Cultural Services, the City of Tampere Youth Services and Messukylä Parish.
