Citizens over 65 years old are invited to participate in the development of mobility services at an interview event at Hakametsä ice rink on 18.9.2025
The City of Tampere is challenging students to develop solutions that improve or maintain the ability and motivation of older people to move independently in an urban environment. Where possible, the solutions and ideas developed can already be used in the city, in the Hakametsä area and in the planning of the future campus.
As part of the European Mobility Week 2025, students of the Health Innovation Challenge course will organise an interview event for seniors at the Hakametsä ice rink on 18 September 2025 at 12.30-14.30. As many participants over 65 years of age as possible are welcome to attend the interviews. To register for the event, please contact project planner Pia Naskali ([email protected], 040 5481294). In addition to the interviews, the programme includes indoor walking, socialising and exercise at your own pace.
The event is part of the WeGenerate project of the City of Tampere's Data-Driven City for Citizens programme, the development of Hakametsä Sport Campus and the Future Sports and Health Campus project of the University of Tampere.
