A variety of exciting performers will take the stage throughout the day. The music lineup includes RinneRadio, known for blending electronic beats with jazz; the captivating Eva Louhivuori with her powerful voice; and Human Cell Signals, who bring cinematic tones with a rock edge. For the little ones, the always-popular Höpinätötterö will spread joy through playful music. Adding to the musical atmosphere is the one-of-a-kind Fillaripianisti, bringing his mobile performances to different corners of the area.
The performance program offers a wide range of multidisciplinary experiences. "Sirkukseen!" – a clowning, juggling, and circus show by Simon Llewellyn and Silja Palomäki – takes audiences into the world of poet Kirsi Kunnas. The improvisational theatre group Snorkkeli will present their Skit-Impro Show full of spontaneous comedy, and Taikuri Marko will amaze with his magic and juggling skills. Street circus and playful moments are also guaranteed in Ilona Jääski’s performance Tervetuloa.
Throughout the day, visitors can take part in various hands-on workshops. The street art workshops invite everyone to try graffiti and stencil techniques. In the natural cosmetics workshop, participants can make bath bombs and body scrubs using nature’s own treasures. There will also be hula hoops, creative recycling crafts, body percussion, collaborative painting, and a joyful Bollywood dance workshop.
This year’s children’s program is especially rich and full of wonder. The interactive adventure Tiitiäinen’s Friends leads children into the world of Kirsi Kunnas through play and storytelling. The clowns from the community art school Hehkumahku roam the area offering clown discos, giant soap bubbles, and fun rides in a clown taxi. At the Taikahile workshop, kids can create their own magical treasures – jewels and wands – and explore musical expression at the JamKids instrument workshop. A bouncy castle and other joyful activities will also be available for children.
The area program invites visitors to explore Hiedanranta from multiple perspectives. Vilttikeidas is a relaxed picnic-style lounge and meeting point – a place to pause, rest, and connect with friends or make new ones. Artist collectives will host exhibitions, experiential walks and an inspiration library, along with info stands presenting local initiatives. The Hiedanranta public sauna will be open to visitors, and the mobile library Kosmos and city bus Nysse will also be on site.
The festival’s culinary offerings are just as diverse as its program. A wide and multicultural selection of food and drink awaits – from Thai dishes and artisan pastries to coffee, smoothies, pancakes, and vegan options. Restaurants and food stalls will serve guests throughout the day. For those with a sweet tooth, licorice, cotton candy, and other treats will add a playful, carnival-like flair near the manor park.
Come and enjoy a festive summer day in Hiedanranta – you’re warmly welcome!
