Summer Entrepreneurship Voucher application opens 14.4.2025

You can apply for the Summer Entrepreneurship Voucher from April 14 to May 27, 2025. You should apply for the Summer Entrepreneurship Voucher as soon as the application period starts, as decisions will be made during the application period. The vouchers will be distributed as long as there are enough vouchers.

The Summer Entrepreneurship Vouchers will be distributed at the summer launch event on 3 June 2025, where the services supporting summer entrepreneurship will also be presented. Registration for summer entrepreneurship workshops and coaching is currently open. Summer entrepreneurship offers valuable work experience

The City of Tampere encourages young people to use the Summer Entrepreneurship voucher to create their own summer job. My Summer Job as an Entrepreneur -campaign offers the opportunity to develop own business ideas during the summer. The campaign is aimed at young people aged 15–21 living in Tampere who want to try entrepreneurship as a summer job.

–Every young person has skills, experience and ideas from their free time, school and hobbies that can be formulated into a service or product during the summer with the support of professionals, says Joni Ramu, Service Manager of the Employment and Growth Services.

During the summer, young people will gain experience in areas such as customer service, marketing, sales, networking and organising. During the campaign, they will have the support and assistance from the City of Tampere and its partners. Summer entrepreneurs will be offered workshops, coaching and a shared contact channel.

–The Summer Entrepreneurship Voucher and the services of our partners offer an excellent opportunity to create a meaningful summer job. Young people's summer entrepreneurship ideas can even develop into long-term business ventures. This is a great opportunity to realise your vision and create something meaningful, says Elina Wallin, Service Director of the Employment and Growth Services.

Entrepreneurship made easy

The campaign offers young people the opportunity to identify and articulate their skills and develop their ideas with support. Summer entrepreneurs can share their ideas and learn from each other, while gaining valuable work experience.

–Entrepreneurship may seem like a new and exciting form of summer work, but your skills, understanding and enthusiasm will grow during the summer. Workshops and coaching sessions of Ensimetri and 4H support entrepreneurship, so I encourage everyone who wants to become a summer entrepreneur to sign up now, says Nea Systä, a Planner Officer at the Employment and Growth Services.

The campaign has been created in partnership with local actors

The campaign involves the Employment and Growth Services of the City of Tampere, Ohjaamo Tampere, Pirkanmaan Uusyrityskeskus ry, Tampere 4H, Tredu and International House Tampere. Pirkanmaan Yrittäjät acts the patron of the campaign.
