Erasmus+ – Exploring the world by land 2026–2027

Exploring the world by Land is an Erasmus+ project of The Adult Education Centre of the Tampere Region. The project aims to strengthen sustainable futures, responsibility, and international competence across the organisation’s activities. It places a particular emphasis on social sustainability, wellbeing, and the integration of sustainable development perspectives into teaching, communications, and everyday practices.

As part of the Erasmus+ – Exploring the world by Land project, staff members of The Adult Education Centre of the Tampere Region participate in international training courses and job shadowing activities across Europe. These mobility periods provide opportunities to explore good practices related to sustainable development, responsible pedagogy, workplace wellbeing, and inclusion.

The project also aims to strengthen participation opportunities for hourly paid teachers and to make the Centre’s core values, such as moderation, human connection, and awareness of the consequences of our actions, a more visible part of teaching and organisational culture.

The Erasmus+ project supports The Adult Education Centre of the Tampere Region in its long-term development work towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and internationally connected future.

The Project is funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are, however, those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the Finnish National Agency for Education. Neither the European Union nor the Finnish National Agency for Education can be held responsible for them.

The Erasmus+ – Exploring the world by Land project runs until 30 November 2027.
