Enrollment for summertime 2024 free of charge period in daycare

In Tampere municipal early childhood education, families can choose eight free weeks of absence for the summer, and receive June and July free of charge. Eight consecutive weeks of absence can be taken between 3 June and 25 August 2024.

The free period is conditional on the child having been in municipal early childhood education and care for at least one year, i.e. each month, and having started early childhood education and care before 1 September 2023. The free period does not apply to children starting first grade in autumn 2024. They will have the possibility to withdraw when the need for early childhood education and care ends.

Binding enrolments for the 8-week free period will be made in eVaca from 11 April to 22 April 2024. After this period, no further enrolments can be made or changed.

If the carer does not have the possibility to log in to the online service for early childhood education and care (eVaka), he/she can register his/her child for the free 8-week period using the attached pdf form. The form must be returned to the child's ECEC establishment by 22.4.2024 at the latest.
