Personal grants for professional artists will next be available for application from January 7 to January 30, 2026.
In 2026, the opportunity to apply for an personal grant is open to artists working in the fields of visual arts (including e.g. ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, filmmaking and architecture) as well as children’s culture.
Applications for the 2026 personal grants must be submitted by Friday, 30 January 2026 at 15:45 via the electronic application form.
The Culture and Leisure Committee will decide on Personal grants for professional artists on 26 March 2026.
Personal grants can be awarded to professional artists based in Tampere. Personal grants awarded by the City of Tampere are incentive funds of limited scope whose goal is to support artists’ work in the arts.
In odd-numbered years, artists working in the fields of literature and performing arts (including theatre, music, dance and circus arts) can apply for a personal grant.
In even-numbered years, artists working in the visual arts fields (including e.g. ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, filmmaking and architecture) and artists working in the children's culture can apply for a personal grant.
