Construction works affect the access routes of Nekala Library

The renovation of the Nekala school has begun. Nekala Library will be open to customers as usual during the renovation, but the renovation will affect the library's access routes. There will be no parking spaces for customers in the vicinity of the library during the renovation. 

During the construction period, Nekala Library is accessible by foot and bike from Ahlmanintie, next to the bus stop (Nekalan koulu 3029). 

The estimated duration of the construction works is from July 2024 to December 2025.

The Nekala Library is located in the courtyard of the Nekala school. It is Finland's first library built in a portable rental container. A small but functional library charms with its colours and homely atmosphere. 

Doors open with library card 

Nekala Library operates as a self-service library. You can access the library every day with a library card and your four-digit code. The library does not have regular staff present but you can use the self-service machines to loan and return your books. You can also read newspapers, study or work, and use your computer and printer in the library.
