Fees for health centres
A consultation at a doctor’s surgery (at a health centre or health station) costs EUR 20.90 per consultation for persons aged 18 or over.
- This fee is charged up to three times a year.
- Treatment is free of charge for under 18s.
- Consultations with a nurse are free of charge. If a doctor is consulted in connection with a consultation with a nurse, the fee for a doctor’s consultation will be charged.
- The payment contribution ceiling for customer fees is EUR 692 per calendar year. Once you have accumulated EUR 692 in treatment costs that contribute toward the payment ceiling you will no longer be charged for treatment during the same calendar year.
Health centres do not accept cash. You can pay your bill with most common credit and debit cards. Visa Electron is accepted at all health stations. If you are not able to pay by card, you can either pay by postal invoice or, if you prefer, you can receive an invoice directly from your online bank (e-invoice). For an e-invoice, you need to sign a direct debit agreement or an e-invoice agreement with your online bank.
Invoices can be paid in cash at the City's cash point, which acts as a payment point for all invoices issued by the City of Tampere.
Persons aged 18 or over may be charged EUR 51.50 for unused or uncancelled doctor’s appointments.
Fees for medical certificates and statements are set separately. The price of a medical certificate depends on its scope.
