Catering and cleaning services

Tampereen Voimia is responsible for the food service and cleaning of the Sorila, Kämmenniemi and Terälahti day-care centres.

Policies

Our operations are based on taking children's needs, wishes and interests into account and ensuring everyone's participation. Environmental and nature education as well as sustainable development are also important to us. Our daycare centre participates in the Vihreä lippu programme.

Working with families

Cooperation between early childhood education and families is based on open interaction, where we listen to and value each other. We consider it important that sufficient time is reserved for getting to know and starting early childhood education and care, as they are very important for starting confidential and open cooperation between the daycare centre and the family. Before starting day care, an early childhood education agreement is drawn up for each child.

Daily contacts and early childhood education discussions are the most important forms of our cooperation. The aim of early childhood education discussions is to utilise our shared knowledge and jointly agree on operating methods to support your child's growth development. The discussion takes place every autumn with the guardians. At the same time, an early childhood education plan for the child is drawn up. The early childhood education plan of the City of Tampere can be found on the city's website.

eVaka is used by us as a communication tool for guardians. The child's care reservations, treatment times and changes in the need for care are reported in the eVaka application. In the group's blog, guardians can follow their child's group's daycare activities and activities.

Partners

We work in close cooperation with the public health nurse of local schools and child health clinics. If necessary, we also cooperate with speech therapists, family counselling clinics and social workers. Our unit's special education teacher in early childhood education is Maarit Laukkanen.

On-call hours

During school holidays, we either operate on a reduced basis or close the daycare centre. There are no preschool and club activities during school holidays. We make an inquiry about on-call hours, as we focus our staff's holidays on school holidays.

Our daycare centre's operating methods

When entering and leaving the daycare centre, it is absolutely important to report to the staff. The transfer of responsibility between parents and staff takes place at the time of registration. In the morning or afternoon, the child can be cared for by adults from another group. Preschoolers who need early morning care are treated at a daycare centre.

Safety

In order to ensure the safety of children, it is very important that the gates are kept closed. We ask parents to pay attention to this, even if there are no children in the yard at the time of passage.
