Organisation

Central Administration is responsible for the general management of the municipality, operating as the Mayor’s staff responsible for the preparation of group-level duties. Central Administration sees to the planning, preparation and implementation work, and other administrational tasks for the City Council, City Board and other municipal organs when necessary.

The city’s operations have been organised according to the municipality’s core tasks into three service areas: Well-being, Growth, Innovation and Competitiveness, and Urban Environment and Infrastructure.
