Tampere Loves Students – Students’ well-being tour gets going in November

Published 1.11.2021 19.32

This year, November is dedicated for students’ well-being and encounters. Together with the Tampere Universities’ community, the City of Tampere has gathered together the city’s student-friendly services and encourages students to explore them by themselves or in a group.

Tampere Loves Students. Well-being tour 1.–30.11. People sitting together outside.

- Tampere offers something to do for everyone, no matter what they are interested in. The pandemic has limited the possibilities of exploring our vast selection of services, so we are now keen to raise awareness of all those options we have in Tampere, explains the coordinator for universities cooperation Max Liikka.

By utilising the student-friendly services in Tampere, you can take part in a raffle and have a chance to win gift cards for culture and well-being services.

Whether you are looking for a relaxed museum visit or a sauna night with a group of friends, our list of services contains something for everybody.

In addition to the list of services, check also the Tampere Tunnetuksi pass available in the Tampere.Finland mobile app. Opiskelijan Tampere also offers a list of student discounts on their website.

The well-being tour will also be highlighted throughout November on social media. The tour will be visible on the channels of Tampere Universities, Student Union of Tampere University (TREY), Students’ Union of Tampere University of Applied Sciences (Tamko) and Opiskelijan Tampere.

The City of Tampere and Tampere Universities have started a strategic partnership in the autumn of 2020, which goal is to develop Tampere as a student-friendly city. The action plan which guides the partnership was accepted in June 2021. The well-being tour is a part of this plan, which develops Tampere into the best student city in Finland.
