The need for digital development comes from several sources: in the longer term from Tampere's strategy and the Mayor's Programme, in the four-year timeframe from the Digital Map and service plans, and in the day-to-day work, when city employees come up with ideas to do things even smarter.
The City of Tampere's digital development is supported by a change management office. When a new idea emerges, the change management office ensures that it becomes a feasible project. Well-prepared projects progress smoothly, are implemented cost-effectively, and produce better digital services for residents. This increases the effectiveness of services and customer satisfaction.
