The interval between vaccinations for people over the age of 50 decreased to four months – in Hatanpää, vaccinations are given without an appointment every day from 8 am to 6 pm

In the vaccination unit in Hatanpää, a line has been opened where people over the age of 12 can get coronavirus vaccinations without an appointment every day from 8 am to 6 pm. Vaccinations are also still available by appointment at the vaccination unit in Hatanpää and health centres.

In Tampere and Orivesi, the dose interval between the second and third vaccination in people over the age of 50 has been decreased to four months. County election officials can get their third vaccination at the vaccination unit in Hatanpää if at least three months have passed from the second vaccination.

Who gets the vaccine and when?

All people over 12 years of age are eligible to get the coronavirus vaccine.

You can also book an appointment for children ages 5–11 belonging to risk groups and children ages 5–11 who have severely immunodeficient people close to them. COVID-19 vaccination is carried out at the vaccination unit in Hatanpää.

You are eligible to receive a second shot if at least six weeks have passed since the first vaccination.

Third vaccination:

  • In patients over 60 years of age and in patients over 18 years of age belonging to medical risk groups 1 or 2 , a third vaccination may be given 3 to 4 months after the second vaccination.
  • People aged 50 and over can get a third dose of the vaccine if at least four months have passed since the second vaccination.
  • Those aged 18–49 can get a third dose of the vaccine if at least five months have passed since the second vaccination.
  • County election officials can get their third vaccination if at least three months have passed from the second vaccination.
  • For people aged 12 and over with severely impaired immune function can get a third dose of the vaccine if at least two months have passed from the second vaccination.

Fourth vaccination:

  • For people aged 12 and over with severely impaired immune function. The booster shot may be given 3 to 4 months after the third vaccination.

Age group-specific vaccination evenings at nine health centres
Health centres in Hatanpää, Hervanta (separate door to the vaccination point), Kaukajärvi, Lielahti, Linnainmaa, Tammelakeskus and Tipotie and Terveyskeskus Mehiläinen Tampere Hervanta and keskusta:
– people aged 55 and older: Mon–Thu 10–13 January 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
– people aged 50 and older: Mon–Thu 17–20 January 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

– people over 12: Mon–Thu 10–13 January 2022 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Coronavirus vaccinations by appointment

Coronavirus vaccinations are given by appointment at the vaccination unit in Hatanpää, at health centres and, from 10 January 2022, also at the adult health check-up unit (Hatanpäänkatu 3 B).

Children aged 5 to 11 who belong to risk groups, as well as children aged 5 to 11 who do not belong to risk groups who have severely immunocompromised people around them, can get the vaccine by appointment at the vaccination unit in Hatanpää, where there are also plenty of available times next week.
