Changes to the Kaukajärvi health centre’s contact channels on 1 March 2021
The Kaukajärvi health Centre in Tampere will implement a new operating model that aims to streamline customers’ access to treatment. Starting from Monday, 1 March 2021, the customers of the Kaukajärvi health centre should contact their local health centre directly instead of going through the health care counselling service.
The contacts received at the health centre are processed by a multi-professional team of nurses, doctors, physiotherapists and mental health care professionals.
- You can call the health centre on 03 5657 0325 (Starting from 1 March 2021) or visit the health centre’s service point in person (Keskisenkatu 9). The health centre is open Mon–Thu from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Fridays and on the eves of public holidays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- In non-urgent matters, you can submit External link at External link (the form is available in Finnish only). You should write down the details of your condition on the form. The health centre will contact you as soon as possible, within a maximum of three weekdays.
A contact person from the health centre can also be appointed to the customer with whom they can use the electronic health services messaging system. Customers can obtain more information about the message service from the professional treating them.
All of the city’s health centres also use the Omaolo.fi online service that customers can use to get a reliable assessment of their need for treatment at any time of the day. While the health centre is closed, customers can contact the health care counselling service on 03 10023 and 03 5657 0023 (non-urgent matters) every day at 7 a.m.–10 p.m. and the Medical Helpline on 116117 (urgent matters) around the clock. In an emergency, always call the emergency number 112.
Kaukajärvi is the sixth health centre in the city that is transitioning to the new operating model. The close cooperation between different professionals enables customers to get help quickly without being passed from one place to another and is considered to be the best part of the model.
