"Tampere has a strong sense of identity. It is a city with a rich history and a people who know who they are and what the city stands for."

Tell us briefly about your journey to Tampere and how you ended up here?

I came as an au pair, and through a series of interesting events I am still here 5+ years later!

What do you love most about living in Tampere?

The atmosphere is the best! The attitude of Tampere residents is warm, welcoming and much more laid back than other cities in Finland.

Why would you encourage international talents to move to Tampere?

It’s the most charming city in the world!

What is your favorite place, and your favorite thing to do in Tampere?

Bonker Mood Court! The food is delicious and the arcade games never get old!

How would you describe Tampere as a city, what makes it special?

Tampere has a strong sense of identity. It is a city with a rich history and a people who know who they are and what the city stands for. It’s an up-and-coming city that brings a sense of blue collar respectability while also pushing for innovation and modernisation.

Is there anything else you would like to share with potential newcomers that make Tampere a great place place to live and work?

Tampere may be small, but its potential isn’t. Even in the last 5 years I have seen tremendous growth in the infrastructure as well as the opportunity for employment and entertainment. It’s best to get in on the action early!
