Introduction to swimming skills
Recommended for children who have turned 6 and are timid in water or cannot swim, and who will not put their heads under water. The group practises the basics of swimming skills. The aim of the group is to complete a swimming badge.
Fundamental swimming skills
Recommended for children who have turned 6 and cannot swim but who do not mind putting their heads under water. The aim of this group is to be able to swim 10 metres of dog paddle with the face lowered and of beginner's back crawl and to obtain a beginner's badge.
Improvers
Recommended for children aged 7 or older who can swim 10 metres of dog paddle with the face lowered and of beginner's back crawl using correct techniques. The aim of the group is to be able to swim 25 to 50 metres and to improve their fundamental swimming techniques. The group practises different water sport skills. The instruction mostly takes place in deep water.
Recreational group
Recommended for children over 7 years old who can swim 10 meters on their stomach and back. The teaching uses both the children's pool and the 25-meter pool, depending on the skill level. The goal is to obtain a hobby badge or swim a distance of 25/50 meters.
Water skills group
Recommended for children aged 9 or older who can do at least 50 metres of distance swimming. The aim is to obtain a swimming badge.
