The City Archives will be closed from 29 December to 2 January, when the information and research services of the Archives will be completely closed. We will respond to requests again after the closure from 5.1.2026.

The City Archive serves as the archive for City of Tampere documents that are stored permanently and as an archive of the home region.
The City Archive provides residents and researchers with approximately six shelf kilometres of documents concerning Tampere. The majority of the collections consists of archives by municipal authorities, but associations and private individuals in Tampere have also delivered documents to the archive.
