The Nahkatehdas Early Childhood Education and Care Centre provides early childhood education for children aged 1–5. We have three groups for children aged 1–5.
Things that are important to us is treating children with sensitivity, providing good basic care, teaching social skills, fostering a sense of community, taking sustainable development into account, and, of course, play. Our educators know that play is important for children and that it also has pedagogical significance. Play can be used to learn anything.
It is also important to us that children enjoy being at the Early Childhood Education and Care Centre, build trusting relationships with the staff, and feel safe. Nature is right next to us, which allows for a variety of excursions (e.g., Lake Tohloppi, Laivapuisto, Epilänharju). The landmark of the Nahkatehdas daycare center is the chimney of an old leather factory.
Our Early Childhood Education and Care Centre's yard was renovated in the summer of 2025, making it even more pleasant than before.
