Schools start on Wednesday, 9 August in Tampere

The schools in Tampere will begin their autumn term on Wednesday, 9 August 2023. In Tampere, 1985 first-grade pupils will start school this autumn.

Pre-primary education will also begin at the same time as schools. There are 1845 children starting in pre-primary education in Tampere. A total of 18,780 pupils will begin their school term at comprehensive schools (grades 1–9).

As the school year begins, all need to be especially cautious and pay attention to traffic safety.
