Christmas Market opens on December 3

The traditional Tampere Christmas Market will open on December 3 at 11 am at Keskustori Central Square. Welcome to enjoy the beginning of the Christmas season at the opening ceremony! The ceremony starts at 5 pm and will feature performances by Yona, Teekkarikuoro choir and Santa Claus himself. Admission to the event is free.

This year the Christmas Market will be open December 3 to 22. The marketplace has a Gluhwein restaurant, a Doughnut café, and plenty of market stalls. The Christmas Market is open every day from 11 am to 7 pm. The Gluhwein restaurant is open daily until 8 pm.  

As with previous years, the Christmas Market’s small red stalls will feature authentic Finnish handcrafts, unique Christmas gifts and Christmas delicacies. The selection is extensive, with almost 80 vendors this year.  

The market will open partially on November 26 as the Gluhwein restaurant, the doughnut café and some of the artisan and food stalls open.
