Take part
Take part in the survey: Where and what kind of services will Tampere organise in the future?
Tampere’s population continues to grow. As the number of residents increases, so too does the demand for services.
This year, the city launched an update process to review services and facilities in light of new population forecasts. This so‑called service network plan extends to the year 2040.
The plan is divided into seven areas:
• Libraries
• Sports facilities
• Cultural facilities
• Youth centres
• Kindergartens
• Comprehensive schools
• Upper secondary schools
Altogether, the plan presents 68 preliminary actions, including the construction of new service facilities, the renovation of existing ones, and more efficient use of spaces.
You can explore the proposed actions by responding to the survey: Where and what kind of services will Tampere organise in the future?
In the survey, you can choose which area you wish to explore and on which you would like to give your opinion. Comments can be provided on individual actions or on broader areas.
Everyone is welcome to respond to the survey. The materials are available in Finnish and English.
Throughout 2025, Tampere residents’ views on future services and facilities have been collected in various ways. All of these previously gathered perspectives, together with the responses to the current survey, will be taken into account in the service network work.
The Tampere City Council will decide on the service network plan in spring 2026.
