Get excited about different activities and sports together as a family!

Children can exercise together with adults. They go around trying out different activities and equipment. In addition to sport-specific skills, they also practise other general physical activity skills. The instruction is intended for children aged from 3 to 5 and their families. You can also join in with an older child.

Perhetemppu is an enjoyable free exercise class for under school-age children and their guardians. Suitable activities are offered in a relaxed atmosphere for everyone from babies to pre-schoolers as adults activate their children, taking into account the child’s level and how they are feeling on the day! This way, a baby and a 5-year-old can be kept active at the same time. The instructor leads games and offers tips and variations of activities for different age groups. The class offers obstacle courses, introductions to sports equipment, and rhyming and musical games.

Vanhempi-lapsi -tanssi - Parent-child dance for 3-5 year olds. Directed by Dance Daily

For children aged 3–5 together with a parent. Enjoy moving together and the basics of dance! You can also come with a hobby referral. 7 meetings. Register for the course in the registration system.

Äiti-vauva -pilates - Mother-baby-pilates. Directed by Studio Balance

Parent-baby classes are a wonderful joint exercise moment for a parent and a baby under one year old (approx. 2–12 months). The main focus of the course is the well-being of the parent, for example the mother's safe recovery from pregnancy and childbirth. With the right kind of exercise, it is possible to alleviate or prevent dysfunction of the pelvic floor and speed up the recovery of DRA. You can also come with a hobby referral. 7 meetings.

Family parkour is a class designed for children and parents, where adults and children can practice parkour skills together. The class involves active movement, which helps develop balance, body control, and muscle strength. Professional instructors demonstrate safe and meaningful ways to move and jump and, if necessary, challenge participants with more demanding tricks, while parents can help and encourage their children. The class is also suitable for children with special needs. The space is not barrier-free.

In the family circus trick class, children get to exercise together with an adult. The joint exercise session for children and adults is built around circus and acrobatic tricks. The class includes acrobatics, juggling, balancing, and an obstacle course. Circus tricks develop coordination, body control, and mutual interaction between children and adults. The class is also suitable for children with special needs.

Pallotaiturit is an exercise group based on the child-adult principle, where we play, exercise, and learn together! The group is aimed at children aged 3–6, and the activities focus particularly on developing motor skills through ball games, obstacle courses, and creative movement.

The activities support the child's overall growth and development – together we practice body control, hand-eye coordination, and social skills, among other things. Through play and exercise, children gain experiences of success, learn to work in a group, and above all, have fun!

The most important things in the group are joy, togetherness, and ensuring that every child can move according to their own abilities in a safe and encouraging atmosphere. Children participate in the activity together with their own adult.

Pallomestarit is a fast-paced and encouraging exercise group for school-aged children who want to play and practice a variety of ball games and ball activities. In this group, you can enjoy the joy of exercise in a great group.

The activities focus on playful training, cooperation, and developing basic physical skills. In Pallomestarit, everyone can participate at their own level – the most important thing is not winning, but doing things together, developing, and having fun.

The group supports children's physical activity, team spirit, and self-confidence. Children participate in the activity together with their own adult.

Family exercise invites you to autumn nature and lean-tos!

The popular family sport events "Get to know the lean-tos" start in September. Take your time and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature and the autumn atmosphere with the whole family. There's a chance to grill sausages, so pack your own picnic lunch. It's easy to walk to the lean-tos, even for the youngest members of the family, so the journey won't be too long. Make sure you dress warmly for the weather. Hikers make their own way to the lean-tos.

The autumn 2025 forest trips:

• Sunday 14 September, Niihaman maja from 1 pm to 3 pm
• Sunday 28 September, Makkarajärvi/Viitastenperä lean-to from 10 am to 12 noon
• Family autumn break event on Saturday, 11 October, at the Kirskaanniemi lean-to shelter from 12 noon to to 3 pm.

Now is the time to secure your place on the family skating courses – registration is about to begin! The courses will be held on three artificial ice rinks, in Sorsapuisto and in the Ahvenisjärvi and Lielahti sports parks.

• Registration begins on 9 December at 9 am in the registration system.
• Please note! Register all participants for the course. With one registration, you can add up to four people to your shopping cart. All you need is basic information: name, phone number, and email address.
• The first courses start in January.

Welcome to the Friendship Skating Event on Sunday, 15 February in Kaleva Sports Park, from 2 to 5 pm.
Join us for an energetic and warm-hearted winter day with friends, family and neighbours on the Sorsapuisto ice rink! The event is organised by Family exercise and Youth training in collaboration with various other parties – come along to exercise, laugh and enjoy the winter atmosphere.

Programme highlights include:

• Skating performances
• Skating guidance
• A skills track and on-ice sport tryouts
• Non-stop activities throughout the event
• DJ Juissi will keep the energy high with great music!
• Skates can be borrowed on-site, and you can also have your own skates sharpened by Iceheart. 

And best of all, beloved mascot animals, as well as Ipa and Tapsu, will make special guest appearances to entertain visitors throughout the afternoon!
Delicious salmon soup served: The first 400 visitors will receive warm salmon soup – please remember to bring your own bowl.

Parking near the skating rink is limited. We recommend arriving by public transport, on foot or by bike.
