Lielahti Manor Cultural Center
However, cultural activities and visitor spaces are intended to be available even before the factory spaces are completed. The current development phase aims to transform Lielahti Manor into a temporary cultural center.
Participatory and communal Cultural Center
A temporary cultural center is being created at Lielahti Manor to provide participatory art and cultural activities, offer communal leisure opportunities for residents, and give visitors inspiring views of the future of the new district. The cultural center will provide facilities for artists, cultural producers, and creative industry professionals, enabling communal and self-directed cultural activities such as various events, performances, exhibitions, and workshops, along with high-quality ancillary services for all city residents. The manor will also serve as a diverse and international visitor center and a showcase for the development phases of the area.
Workspaces and Shared Workstations
The manor offers workspaces for artists, cultural practitioners, and other creative professionals. There are studios of various sizes available for rent, some of which can be shared among several users. In addition, 1–2 spaces will include workstations available for short-term rental. The tenants of these studios will be part of the manor’s artist and cultural community, which also enables broader collaboration and experimentation with different artistic and communal processes. Applicants for studio spaces are expected to be interested in being part of an active and outward-looking community.
The application for joining the artist and cultural community and for renting workspaces at the manor is now open!

Space for cultural and community experiments
The manor offers space for cultural and community experiments and seeks a diverse range of art and culture creators whose self-directed and creative activities are supported through facilitation and community planning methods.
Artistic experience and process openness
The artistic process and its accessibility to the public are boldly opened up in the activities of the artist and cultural community. The public can participate in and influence the creation of artworks, meet artists personally, and take part in cultural evenings and networking events at the cultural center. Artists have the opportunity to be inspired by close contact with the audience.
Hubs and hubism
Hubism is a semi-humorous art form of community planning developed for the concept, characterized by multi-perspectivity and polyphony, as well as fun and enjoyment. Hubs are small groups or community bubbles that produce or engage in activities. Community members can join various hubs or create their own based on their interests or inspiration. Some hubs may be permanent, such as production, party, research, and art hubs.
Resident spaces
The historical and beautiful manor offers a place to visit Hiedanranta year-round. Visitors to the new cultural center can attend various cultural events, participate in the manor's communal activities, meet local artists, learn about the area's history, development phases, and the construction of the future district. In addition to innovative cultural activities, the manor also serves as a place for city residents to meet and live. Special resident spaces are being created to support networking and community building.
