Haihara Spring Carnival welcomes spring on March 20.

The Haihara Art Centre is once again preparing to celebrate spring with the Haihara Spring Carnival on Friday, March 20, from 3 to 6 p.m. This colorful event is part of Anti-Racism Week and the ARMAS festival for seniors, and it celebrates the diverse culture of Tampere.
Colorful umbrellas decorated with lace are attached to the exterior railing of the manor house.
The decorations at the spring carnival are also colorful and playful.

This year's carnival will feature a diverse program spread across the Haihara Manor and its grounds. The program includes art workshops, music and dance performances, henna tattoos, a fashion show, a watercolor exhibition, and flavors from the Philippines. You can also take part in community art and create your own carnival costume.

We are now looking for models of different ages and backgrounds for the fashion show — all you need is an accessory or piece of clothing and a story behind it. The show will be held in the spirit of the manor's last private owner, Gunvor Ekroos. Models will have their photo taken by a professional photographer as a souvenir. This is a light-hearted and warm-hearted fashion show, so feel free to come along and enjoy yourself. Sign up at: [email protected].

The Haihara Spring Carnival is a free event open to everyone, inviting people of all ages to enjoy spring, community, and culture. The Haihara Art Center is largely accessible, and the event will follow safe space principles.

You are warmly welcome to join us in welcoming the start of spring!
