Visit Haihara Art Centre
Haihara Art Centre is located in the Kaukajärvi district of Tampere. The exhibition spaces are two historic buildings, the Manor and the Stable. In the grounds you will also find the Haihara Coffee Shop, the Haihara Puppet Theatre, the Lysti Summer Theatre, the Pakari, the Mylly and the Runeberg Cottage Art and Craft Shop. Haihara's green park area is open to all.
In addition to exhibitions, the Manor hosts a wide range of events. During the summer, there are yoga classes, wildlife fairs, art workshops for children and adults, summer and puppet theatre performances and concerts in the park. Refreshments can be enjoyed at the Coffee House, located in a more than 200-year-old building. At Runeberg's cottage you can buy products from local craftsmen and artists for yourself or as souvenirs.
Haihara is also a hive of activity outside the summer season. In autumn and winter, there are concerts, sports courses, events, etc. every month. The Manor is also rented out for parties, meetings and events when there are no art exhibitions.
Opening hours
The Manor has many weekly activities and bookings outside the summer season.
Arrival
The Art Centre is easily accessible by Nysse bus number 10, which can be caught from Hämeenkatu, among other places. The park area of the Manor begins next to the main bus stop of bus number 10 and the journey to the art centre is short. The art centre also has its own small parking area, which is accessed by driving along a sandy road past the windmill. The parking area is just after the windmill on the right.
