Sports Services Coordinator Niko Penttinen says that the electronic application process has already received good feedback in a survey of clubs.
– Electronic application is modern and is also used in other cities, so we want to develop our operations in Sports Services. Starting on 1 December, the Timmi booking system's electronic application will include mid-season training slots, such as individual slots, regular slots, and, for example, housing association meetings, he explains.
The electronic application does not include slots for the next season that can be applied for in the spring regular slot application; instead, these are applied for using the old method, which involves filling out a form sent by email. Competitions and events are also excluded from the electronic application.
– Instructions on how to use the electronic application can be found on the city's website. The facility reservations and customer service will be happy to assist with any questions related to the application process. We are currently working out how we want to handle applications for regular slots, competitions, and events in the future, says Penttinen.
