Tampere Residents’ Evening in Nekala, 15 April 2026

Welcome to the Tampere Residents’ Evening in Nekala! At this open event, you’ll have the chance to hear about and share your views on urban planning, culture and local services in Nekala. Deputy Mayors will also be present to meet residents. During the evening, you can enjoy a performance by Legioonateatteri’s Peace Choir as well as a gig by singer Samae Koskinen.

Tampere Residents’ Evenings are relaxed gatherings where residents, local associations and the city meet and interact. You can drop in for a moment or stay for the whole evening. You can speak with city representatives in Finnish or English.

At the Nekala event, you’ll hear about the area’s rich cultural activities and the southern phase of the master plan, the preparation of which is about to begin. You’ll also have the opportunity to share your views not only on these topics but also on the upcoming Nysse route changes and public art.

You can also learn about the city’s housing advisory service, the service assistant activities provided by the Pirkanmaa Wellbeing Services County, and the cultural and artistic activities in Nekala.

During the evening, there will be performances by the Nekala-based Legioonateatteri Peace Choir and singer-songwriter Samae Koskinen. Juice and buns will be served for one hundred participants.

Tampere Residents’ Evenings are open to everyone interested and free of charge. The events follow safer space principles.
