Tampere residents' panel operates mainly online. Various surveys and other tasks are published on the panel's own website, and panel members respond to them according to their own interests whenever they want. Panel members are notified of new tasks by email. Tasks can be answered using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Sometimes panel members may also be invited to interviews or workshops. Participation in all panel tasks is entirely voluntary. It is not required to answer and take part in every task.
