Communication

Wilma

Wilma is the official information channel of the school which students are expected to follow daily. Guardians should also follow it regularly during the academic year. Both students and guardians can communicate with teachers via Wilma.

Weekly bulletin

The weekly bulletin informs everyone about current topics and events. It is the primary information channel for students and guardians about the school’s everyday functions.

The weekly bulletin is published in Wilma for both students and their guardians on Tuesdays before the group tutoring meeting. Students also receive the weekly bulletin as a Wilma message.

Info Screens

The digital display boards show current information to everyone in the school building. The screens display information such as sudden room changes, timetable changes or visitors to the school.

Important notes about the Pyynikki campus facilities

Library

The school library is located on the 2nd floor (room 216). The books in the reference library are meant to be used only in school. This is also the case with magazines. This room is meant to be silent for the purpose of study and for work that requires concentration. The books in the back room can be loaned for a period of six weeks. The process of making these loans is automatic and the training for how to use of the loan machine is given at the beginning of school year.

2nd floor lobby

The students lobby is located on the 2nd floor. It has machines where you can purchase drinks. There are also daily copies of the Aamulehti and the Helsingin Sanomat newspapers available.

Form groups and clubs may organize their own events in the lobby. The student body will allocate turns, and the groups decide with their form teacher or supervisor what type of event they want to organize.

Recharging devices

In the 2nd floor reading room (259), there are 20 lockable compartments for recharging laptops or smart phones. There is a socket in every compartment. The locking system works with a single-use, four-digit code. Locking instructions can be found in the compartments.

Gym

A small gym is located in the basement. If you wish to use it, please contact the janitors.

Lockers

Each student may have a personal locker. The janitor provides the lockers to the students. The locking system works with four-digit code chosen by the student.
