Nysse's new ticket and travel terms and conditions come into effect on 1 September

Nysse has updated the ticket and travel terms and conditions. The new terms and conditions will come into effect in the beginning of September. The privacy policies have also been updated.

The terms and conditions have been updated to reflect current services and upcoming changes. The key changes relate to the account-based ticketing system, the purchase and use of ticket products, refunds and compensation, and customer relationship management.

The document has been expanded to cover the entire travel experience more clearly than before. The terms and conditions now include clearer instructions on, among other things, ticket usage, payment methods, passenger responsibilities, and exceptional and disruptive situations.

The use of tickets, returns, and refunds are illustrated with practical examples, and instructions regarding contactless payments, mobile tickets, and the use of online services have been supplemented.

Nysse has also revised our privacy notices. Instead of having one privacy notice, there are now two – one for Nysse customer register and another one for Nysse feedback register.

Nysse Customer register consists of three parts:

  • Customer register for the travel card system (customers who have purchased a personal travel card)
  • Nella.fi online service (users of the service)
  • Benefit ticket register (customers entitled to a benefit).

The migration to account-based payment system begins

The transition to an account-based payment system will begin later this year. In the new system, ticket information and customer groups will be located in the background system instead of on the travel card.

The transition will happen automatically in stages and will not require the customer to take any action.

For customers, one of the visible changes will be the removal of the two-hour loading delay for tickets purchased via the Nella.fi online service.

We will provide further updates on the payment system reform as it proceeds.
