How to get to Laikku

The easiest way to get to Laikku is by public transport or by walking or cycling. We encourage you to use these modes of transport and at the same time reduce transport emissions. The City of Tampere aims to be climate neutral by 2030, and promoting public transport is a good way to contribute to this goal.

Laikku does not have its own parking spaces, but it is a short distance from the Keskustori parking area, for example. Read more below about the different ways to get to Laikku.

Arriving by bus and tram

There are several bus stops near Culture House Laikku at Keskustori Central Square and Hämeenkatu. For up-to-date local bus timetables, see the Nysse route guide. Enter Laikku's address at Keskustori 4 to get walking directions from the bus stop to us.

The nearest tram stop to Laikku is Keskustori, which is a 250 m walk from Laikku. Tram line 1 stops at it. The other tram line 3 stops at Koskipuisto, from where it is a 350 m walk to Laikku. 

Arrival on foot and bicycle

Laikku is easy to reach by foot and bicycle. It is surrounded by the Kirjastonpuisto Park, which has several sidewalks and a cycle path. Bike racks are also available in the courtyard.

Arrival by car and parking

There are no parking spaces at Laikku. The nearest car parks are located at the Keskustori Central Square, Frenckell Square and the P-Frenckell car park (address Frenckellinaukio 3). There are two disabled parking spaces in Laikku, located at the south end of the building next to the entrance to the Children's Cultural Centre Rulla.

Arrival from elsewhere in Finland

Tampere is also well connected by train and bus. The distance from Tampere railway station (address Rautatienkatu 25) to Laikku is about 500 metres and from the bus station (address Hatanpääntie 7) about 800 metres.
