Traveling Rulla

The Cultural Cooperative Uulu is participating in the content of Traveling Rulla with the Palago event and To the Circus! performance.

Palago - concert and music workshop

Paloma Parga and Iago Pérez form the Palago ensemble, whose Music, Us and the World concert and wordless music workshop are suitable for all ages. The pedagogy of the workshop is based on non-verbal songs and stories, making it suitable for everyone, regardless of their mother tongue.

To the Circus!

To the Circus! performance is music composed and performed to Kirsi Kunnas' texts, combined with circus techniques. It includes puppetry, audience participation and clowning.

Kunnas' poems, composed for the performance, will take the audience into the magical world of the circus, accompanied by kantele, ukulele, clarinet and the atmospheric voice of Silja Palomäki. You will see the plates spinning and the trapeze artists flying! Ponies tap-dancing, a strongman getting help from the audience - and much more. Simon Llewellyn skilfully moves between different circus techniques, including puppetry, audience participation and clowning.
 

Veera Degerholm is participating in the contetn of the Traveling Rulla with the Fairytale Adventure performance and the Fairytale Play workshop, as well as the Gardeners performance and the Shared Garden workshop together with Ilaria Tucci.

Fairy Tale Adventure performance and Fairy Tale Play workshop

Fairy Tale Adventure is an interactive performance that takes you to the fairytale forest through story, play and music. In the fairytale forest, you will discover the secret dreams of Bear, Whisperer and Grandma Octopus, among others.

The Fairy Tale Play workshop is a great way to spark your imagination and set off on the path of fairytale forest. Along the way, you'll explore your senses, your emotions and the power of imagination.

Adults accompanying the children can join in the play alongside the children.

Gardeners' -children's theater performance and Shared Garden workshop

The performance describes two gardeners' attempts to find a common way to care for flowers, even though their views differs from time to time. At the same time, it explores living in a foreign language, using Italian, English and the audience's own languages in addition to Finnish. The actors are Veera Degerholm and Ilaria Tucci.

The workshop "Shared Garden" explores emotions, personal strengths and the experience of inclusion through play and drawing.

Räppilähde is participating to the content of Traveling Rulla with the workshop Rulla-RÄP - Our Champions, community-based neighbourhood bias.

Rulla-RÄP - Our places, Community-based Neighbourhood Songs workshop

Rulla-RÄP is an inclusive and community-based rap workshop where children and families work together to create their own piece about the district where the event is taking place. The workshop combines music, creative writing and making together into a low-threshold art activity that can be participated in without any previous musical background.

The workshop aims to strengthen children's and families' participation, creative self-expression and sense of community. Participants will be able to bring forward their own ideas and experiences about their own neighbourhood and build a collective piece of music with professional guidance.
 

Theatere ILMI Ö. is participating in the content of Traveling Rulla with a theatre workshop.

Theatre workshop

Let's play! ILMI Ö's theatre play workshop features the city rabbits and their new friends: children and their families. Through imaginative play and improvisation, they explore the environment, and and together they transform into forest animals or even trees, berries and cones. What happens in the imaginary play is decided by the children in the workshop together with the artists from Theatre ILMI Ö.
