BORROWING BOOKS

Books in classrooms and the Media Library's loan collection can be borrowed independently at the self-service desk. The borrowing machine works with the TOKI library card. You will receive the TOKI card from the library teacher during the first Finnish or S2 course. Books must not be taken from the library without using the borrowing machine. If the machine is not working, write your name, the book's name, and the volume identifier on the form at the borrowing desk. Return books through the self-service machine and drop them in the box below the machine. The loan period is about six weeks. You can renew loans through the TOKI online library once you have received your internet credentials.

BREAKS
If there are breaks or free periods in your schedule, you can spend them in empty high school classrooms, the Media Library, hallways, or the basement. It's a good idea to plan something sensible to do during these times.

BULLYING

Report bullying. We do not tolerate bullying in any form. Addressing bullying is the responsibility of all members of the high school community. You can share your experience or observations with any staff member. The investigation of bullying will begin immediately. All reports of bullying are handled confidentially. If you wish, you can use the "Report Bullying or Inappropriate Treatment" link found in Wilma.

INSURANCE
Students in Tampere city upper secondary schools are covered by accident insurance on the school premises during regular school hours, during breaks, and when participating in activities organized within the school's curriculum, as well as on the immediate journeys to and from these activities. Any accidents occurring during school activities must be reported immediately to the teacher or the person responsible for the trip, regardless of whether medical costs are incurred. Accidents are handled according to the nurse's or doctor's instructions and referrals, either in public or private healthcare facilities. An accident report is made at the school as soon as possible with the students affairs secretary. Costs incurred from the accident are initially paid by the individual, and reimbursements are claimed from the insurance company afterward. The insurance also covers additional school transport prescribed by a doctor based on a medical certificate. The insurance does not cover clothes, items, equipment, or indirect costs.

Travel insurance is valid for upper secondary school students on trips abroad according to the curriculum, including free time during these trips. The insurance covers accidents and illnesses during the trip. Luggage is not covered.
