families and serves as a practical tool for health nurses in maternity clinics. Since 2019, the family has been able to participate free of charge not only in the cultural course but also in selected sports services courses.
The colour immersion is a method developed by the Pori Centre for Children’s Culture, which enables children to become acquainted with the world of senses while creating their first artwork. The immersion involves painting with edible colours: ground berries, pudding and charcoal, for instance. The painting time varies depending on how energetic the children are feeling.
The father and baby circus activity enables the parent and child to experience a variety of tricks known from the world of circus in an accepting environment. The inspiring joint activity promotes the development of the child’s motor skills and gives the parent an opportunity for engaging in light exercise. The course offers tips on how to interact with the baby and also provides a moment’s rest from the busy day-to-day life. The father and baby circus groups are intended as groups for fathers and the duration of one meeting may vary depending on how much energy the children have.
Dance for the Whole Family is about moving together through creative movement and play. In the course, you get to dance both with dance step patterns and moving based on music, play and mental images. In addition to dance, play and movement, the course is above all enjoyable togetherness. The course is suitable for everyone, regardless of previous experience.
Circus for the whole family is a circus course intended for all kinds of families where you get to experiment with new ways of spending time together using circus activities. You will familiarise yourself with various circus equipment, tricks, doing things together and controlling your body. The whole family is welcome to participate in the group, and older children will also enjoy the course. The duration of one meeting may vary depending on how much energy the children have.
Parent-baby classes are a wonderful joint exercise moment for a parent and a baby under one year old. The main focus of the course is the well-being of the parent, for example the mother's safe recovery from pregnancy and childbirth. With the right kind of exercise, it is possible to alleviate or prevent dysfunction of the pelvic floor and speed up the recovery of abdominal muscle spasms.
Perhetemppu is an enjoyable free exercise class for under school-age children and their guardians. Suitable activities are offered in a relaxed atmosphere for everyone from babies to pre-schoolers as adults activate their children, taking into account the child’s level and how they are feeling on the day! This way, a baby and a 5-year-old can be kept active at the same time. The instructor leads games and offers tips and variations of activities for different age groups. The class offers obstacle courses, introductions to sports equipment, and rhyming and musical games.
A fun exercise moment for the family in Nääshalli Sports Hall! The child moves together with an adult, we go around activity points and try out different equipment. The activity is aimed at 3-5 year olds and their families. You can also come with an older child.
In the family circus trick class, children get to exercise together with an adult. The joint exercise session for children and adults is built around circus and acrobatic tricks. The class includes acrobatics, juggling, balancing, and an obstacle course. Circus tricks develop coordination, body control, and mutual interaction between children and adults. The class is also suitable for children with special needs.
Pallotaiturit is an exercise group based on the child-adult principle, where we play, exercise, and learn together! The group is aimed at children aged 3–6, and the activities focus particularly on developing motor skills through ball games, obstacle courses, and creative movement.
