Young contemporary art in urban space – Bound to Fabric exhibition on display in Pyynikki until 28 May 2026

The exhibition Bound to Fabric, created by 10th-year students of Sara Hildén Academy’s contemporary art module, brings young artists’ works into the urban space of the Pyynikki area in May.

Sara Hildén Academy’s Bound to Fabric exhibition brings young contemporary art into the urban space.

The exhibition is on display from 9 to 28 May 2026 in two shop windows at Pirkankatu 10 and Pyynikintori 4–6.

The works, created using soft materials, explore themes of nature and biodiversity from the perspectives of young artists.

Bound to Fabric highlights the skills and creativity of young people while making contemporary art easily accessible as part of the cityscape.

Sara Hildén Academy is the visual arts school of the Adult Education Centre of the Tampere Region, providing basic education in the arts for children, young people and adults. Basic education in the arts enables long-term engagement in artistic practice and supports the development of personal expression in a goal-oriented and encouraging environment.

The application period for children’s and young people’s visual arts education is open until 31 May 2026.
