Registration for the Adult Education Centre of the Tampere Region has begun – check the autumn schedules and opening hours
The Adult Education Centre’s multichannel customer service reopens after the summer break on Monday 11 August 2025 at 12:00. You can contact the Centre by phone, email, or chat, and in-person service is available in Tampere (Sampola) and Ylöjärvi (City Hall). Phone and in-person registration begins on Thursday 14 August 2025 at 12:00.
Customer service is open until Sunday 31 August 2025, Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 15:00. Evening opening hours from Monday to Thursday (12:00–18:00) will be in effect from Monday 1 September to Sunday 14 September 2025. Updated opening hours for the rest of the autumn can be found on the Centre’s website.
Support for online registration is available in August at the Leija Library in Ylöjärvi on Monday 11 August 2025 from 10:00 to 12:00. Additional registration support will be offered during the Centre’s Civic Skills Week event at Leija on Monday 25 August and Tuesday 26 August 2025 from 15:30 to 18:00. During the event, you can also test your civic skills or take a quick reading test. The Centre’s student association will host a pancake café at the event.
The Adult Education Centre of the Tampere Region reminds those eligible for discounts to submit their discount applications before the course begins, as late applications cannot be accepted. You can check your course schedules on the course website, which lists all meeting times and locations.
The academic year officially begins on Monday 1 September 2025. Courses of various lengths will start throughout the year. General lectures also begin in September. The autumn term will culminate in the Sampola NatureNight event (Sampolan LuontoYö), offering activities and workshops for people of all ages in both the Centre and library facilities.
