Sampola
You can access Sampola without barriers via the inner courtyard or through the library doors. When the library is closed, entry is only possible through the courtyard.
The elevator is located next to the courtyard entrance, near the janitors’ workspace. If you need assistance, the janitors and other staff are happy to help.
The elevator provides access to all floors, and there are no stairs or thresholds in the classrooms.
An accessible toilet is located on the first floor near the café and the janitors’ workspace. Other toilets are available on every floor.
Sampola has two accessible parking spaces in the courtyard near the sports facilities. Regular parking spaces are located at the corner of Kalevan puistotie and Kaskitie.
Parking is limited. Please use public transport (bus or tram) if possible.
The Adult Education Centre rents out facilities in Sampola. All rented spaces are accessible. The auditorium and assembly hall have wheelchair spaces and induction loops. Public lectures are usually held in the auditorium.

Ylöjärvi City Hall
Ylöjärvi City Hall is fully accessible. The Adult Education Centre’s office is located on the first floor. An accessible toilet is located in the lobby next to the information desk. Accessible parking spaces are available next to entrance B.
Sara Hildén Academy
There is a threshold at the entrance of the Sara Hildén Academy, so the entry is not fully accessible. The janitor’s and office secretary’s desks are located near the entrance. If you need help, you can call the office.
Movement between floors is accessible. However, teaching takes place on the ground floor, which also has an accessible toilet.
Accessible parking spaces are located in the upper yard, with access to the school via stairs or the street driveway. Students and visitors may park in available spaces in front of the school in the lower or upper yard.
Other teaching locations
The Adult Education Centre of the Tampere Region offers courses in over 70 locations in Tampere and Ylöjärvi. These are typically schools, daycare centers, and sports facilities.
Courses are also held in other locations. If you have questions about accessibility at a specific location, please contact either the Adult Education Centre or the location directly.

Parking at other locations
Some teaching locations offer designated parking spaces for those with a disabled parking permit. Please confirm this directly with the location.
Regular parking is limited at most locations. The Adult Education Centre recommends using public transport for those who can. Teaching locations are generally well connected by bus and tram. You can check your route using the Nysse Journey Planner.
Assistants
Assistants are welcome to attend courses with students. No course fee is charged for assistants. Guide dogs are also allowed.
Toilet Card
The Adult Education Centre uses a Toilet Card system. You can show your card to staff to gain immediate access to a toilet. Even if you are not studying or a customer at the location, you may use the nearest toilet by showing the card.
