It combines digital guidance with personalised expert support from Ensimetri. The service helps you develop your business idea, plan your business operations and prepare for starting a business.

What does the Advisory service for new entrepreneurs offer?

• You can test and refine your business idea by chatting with a digital advisor.
• You get quick answers to questions related to entrepreneurship and starting a business.

Support for business planning

• You receive help in preparing your business plan and financial calculations.
• You can also request an expert review of your completed business plan.
• You can book a one-to-one appointment with Ensimetri's expert.

Who is the service for?

The Advisory service for new entrepreneurs is available to anyone living in the Tampere Region Employment Area who is interested in entrepreneurship or planning to start a business.

How does the service work?

• Go to the service at yritys.tampere.fi/perustaminen. The Advisory service is also available on mobile devices.
• You can chat with a digital advisor either without signing in or by signing in via Suomi.fi e‑Identification, which gives you access to additional features of the service.
• When you sign in using Suomi.fi e‑Identification, you will be guided to complete your personal profile. With a profile, your conversations with the digital advisor are saved for later review. You can also create a business plan and print it as a PDF file for your own use.
• You can request an expert review of your business plan by submitting your completed plan to Ensimetri's expert through the service.
• You can also book a personal meeting with an Ensimetri expert. Appointments can be booked directly through the service.
• The Advisory service is available every day, around the clock.
• The service supports all the most commonly used languages.

Light entrepreneurship is an increasingly common way to create one’s own employment. It can be the easiest way to test a business idea, and it may also enable entrepreneurial activity in situations where establishing a formal company would not be financially viable. As a light entrepreneur, you do not need a business ID to operate, yet you still determine your pricing, clients and working hours. Anyone can work as a light entrepreneur, although your status as unemployed, employed or a student may affect the benefits available to you.

Discuss light entrepreneurship with a digital advisor in the Advisory service for new entrepreneurs at yritys.tampere.fi/perustaminen. Please note that the digital advisor does not assess your personal situation but provides general guidance on operating as a light entrepreneur.

Are you concerned about your personal finances when starting a business? What if you are not able to find enough paying customers right away?

The purpose of the start-up grant is to support the livelihood of new entrepreneurs during the initial phase of full-time business operations, when income from the business is still limited. The start-up grant must be applied for before establishing the company.

The Summer Entrepreneurship Voucher 2026 is a voucher worth 350 euros for young people born between 2005 and 2011 and who live in Tampere.
