What kind of park is it?

Kaleva Central Park is part of a larger green area that starts in the west as Liisanpuisto Park and continues as Kiovanpuisto Park to the Tampere Swimming Centre. East of the Swimming Centre, the green area continues as Kaleva Central Park to Pellervonpuisto Park. The Pellervonpuisto playing field is still counted as part of Kaleva Central Park. Next to it, a recreational area with benches and tables has been built to replace the former playground. One of the main features of Kaleva Central Park is the Traffic Park. In autumn 2025, a parkour area and a basketball court were opened on the eastern side of the Traffic Park.

Located right next to the swimming centre and the outdoor swimming pool, the traffic park offers fun things to do for summer days. The traffic park is free of charge.
